Our Veterinarians

Dr. Natasha Pesce

Veterinarian

Natasha started at Terrey HIlls Animal Hospital as a new graduate in 2013 and was mentored by Matthew Murphy and Reiner Seubert. Driving to Terrey Hills Animal Hospital for the first time to meet Matt and Reiner, she knew she’d found a little pocket of paradise in Terrey Hills! She also felt that she’d found her community in Terrey Hills and has since loved developing a bond with the pet owners on the Northern Beaches.

Becoming the practice owner in 2019, Tash is committed to continuing and enhancing the quality of Terrey Hills Animal Hospital can offer to its clients and patients by investing in new equipment, ongoing staff training and engaging with clients about the service provided by the clinic. Tash is driven by educating pet owners to help them make the best decision for them and their pet. Her philosophy is that veterinary practices are an important part of the community and not only provide service for the wellbeing of pets, but also help to support the mental health and livelihoods of the people living in that community. 

Tash has completed numerous continuing education courses including those in thoracic and abdominal imaging, equine lameness, ultrasound, small animal dentistry, intestinal surgery and is currently part of the Accelerate Practice Academy program. 

Tash has a love for theatre and playwriting and is frequently accompanied to work by her beautiful boy ‘Wilbur’ the Whippet! He has been given the clinic role of HR Management and makes sure all the staff are in top form to give him treats!

Dr. Holly Pickett

Veterinarian

Holly loves everything ‘Vet medicine’. Holly completed an internship at Randwick Equine Centre (2019) and moved to Terrey Hills Animal Hospital the same year. She has a 23 year old off the track thoroughbred gelding, who’s been her mate for 20 years.

Holly also has a fluffy rescue dog named Clifford and 2 beautiful rescue cats named Tilly and Smudge. Holly’s greatest achievement to date is raising her son Henry who is 2 on June 23rd .
Holly loves working at Terrey Hills Animal Hospital because it has such a strong community feeling. She loves our variety of patients from horses, to dogs, to chickadees; you never know who’s about to walk through that door. Holly really enjoys that we can do consults outside on the lawn for those anxious patients or  out in the paddock with someone’s horse, goat, sheep or cow. It’s a unique clinic not far from the beach, the bush and the city!

Dr. Lily Hooper

Veterinarian BVB DVM

Lily graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Sydney in 2022 and since then has spent time practicing at a veterinary hospital in Cardiff, Wales before returning home to the Northern Beaches to work at Terrey Hills Animal Hospital in September 2023.

Prior to becoming a vet, Lily worked for many years as a veterinary nurse and has a background in horse riding. Lily enjoys all aspects of general practice, surgery and equine medicine and is committed to providing a high quality of care to her patients. When not at work, Lily can often be seen walking her two Labradors, Bear and Charlie.

Dr. Katie Pasfield

Veterinarian

Katie graduated from the University of Sydney in 2022 with a Bachelor in Veterinary Biology/ Doctor in Veterinary Medicine. Katie enjoys working with all species from horses to goats to cats, with an added interest in exotic pet medicine (i.e. rabbits, reptiles, birds, even fish!).

This interest comes as she is the granddaughter of a herpetologist and grew up around many strange and quirky creatures. After receiving a scholarship with the ‘Unusual Pet and Avian Veterinarians’ 2022, this interest has grown into a passion for exotic animal husbandry, medicine, and surgery. Katie is a member of a research ethics committee through DPI Forest Science and is also regularly involved in wildlife rehabilitation. Aside from wildlife and exotic pets, Katie also has a keen interest in small animal surgery, equine and small animal emergency medicine, and the care of senior pets. 

 

As the owner of an anxious rescue pup and a vet-reactive cat you will often see Katie have a calming conversation with your pet to ease their suspicions of being in the consult room.  When not at work, you might see Katie on the ice coaching figure skating or on a bush walk with friends. The rest of her time is spent between her dog ‘Albie’, ragdoll ‘Frankie’, Green Tree Frogs ‘Gus’, ‘Willow’, and ‘Ned’, or her Smooth Knob tailed Gecko ‘Fred’.

Michaela Gee

Nurse

Michaela has been at Terrey hills since the start of 2020. She has a certificate IV in veterinary nursing and is currently studying for her diploma in veterinary nursing!

Michaela has spent all her life with a different range of animals including chickens, ducks, rabbits and Guinea pigs. When she got her first dog that really made her know that she wanted to work with animals. Michaela currently has her dogs Ellie and Lulu, and her cat Benjamin. Michaela is a hard working and dedicated nurse that always wants the best care for animals of all kinds. Her current interests are animal anaesthesia. Outside of work she loves hanging out with friends and family, travel and playing with her dog Ellie.

Sharon Richey

Nurse

Sharon completed the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in December 2020 and joined the team at Terrey Hills Animal Hospital in January 2021. Sharon came to vet nursing later in life when looking for a fulfilling and rewarding career in which she could satisfy her passion for providing quality care for animals.

Sharon has had pets all her life and understands they are a part of the family and enrich the lives of other family members.  She currently enjoys the company of her two Burmese cats, Milo and Luna.  Sharon is committed to furthering her education in veterinary nursing and regularly attends workshops and webinars.  She has recently completed workshops in the areas of anaesthesia, CPR and wildlife care.  In her spare time, Sharon can be found enjoying long walks; watching the latest sci-fi or superhero movie; and spending quality time with family and friends.

Michaela Beddy (Mickey)

Nurse

Michaela joined the team at Terrey Hills Animal Hospital in 2021. She has had a connection with animals from a young age. From having many dogs and cats at home to her 3 horses Poppy, Jack and Buttons.

Michaela starting her vet nursing journey in 2017 where she completed a certificate III in horse care. She has  continued to grow her education by completing a certificate IV in Veterinary nursing and even travelling to Heron Island to complete a turtle tracking course. Michaela is a compassionate and highly driven vet nurse and has a keen interest for animal dentistry. During her spare time she loves to read, ride her horses and hangout with friends. 

Brittany Grech

Nurse

Britt has been working in the industry for over 5 years. She enjoys providing a high standard of care to all patients and seeing them go home happy and healthy. She also has a very keen interest in the care and conservation of wildlife and the natural world.

Britt has a female ginger cat named Bobbi who loves running around the house wreaking havoc and long naps in the sun.

Claire Williams

Nurse

Meet Claire, she has recently joined the team and has been loving every minute of it! Claire has had an affinity with animals her whole life. Growing up Claire had many pets, from mice and rabbits, to birds, dogs and even helped hand raise a cow!

Claire has also always had a big love for horses and grew up riding them from a young age. Before starting vet nursing Claire worked in the equine industry with a Horse trainer for 2 years while also studying her Cert III in Wildlife with Taronga Zoo, where she worked with many animals from lions and tigers to our nocturnal natives such as the feather-tailed glider. Claire has since then started her Cert IV in Vet Nursing and continues to look for ways to further her education to better care for any animal in need.
Outside of work, Claire loves spending time at the beach with her two golden retrievers Poppy and Roy or enjoying the sunshine with her childrens python Alice or ‘Alissssssss’.
Linda Catalano

Nurse

Linda is currently undertaking her Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at Charles Sturt University part time which allows her to work at Terrey Hills Animal Hospital full time. With a main interest and focus on exotic animals and wildlife stemming from over 6 years in the zoo industry and from being a wildlife carer, Linda is always keen to jump at the opportunity to assist with our patients not only furry, but feathered, scaly and pint sized!

In addition to Uni, Linda is always looking to further her education by completing online courses and attending webinars to deliver a gold standard of care to our exotic patients alongside our experienced vets.

At home, Linda has 2 Japanese spitz’s Arya and Sami and a grand chinchilla rabbit named Jupiter as well as 5 Australian tarantulas named Carl, Brad, Toast, Bagel and Boo.
All of Linda’s pets are welcoming of wildlife that comes home with her after a shift – they don’t mind sharing their space for a critter in need.

In her spare time, Linda has been a volunteer Firefighter with the local Ingleside Rural Fire Brigade since 2018 where she met her partner, Ross. Volunteering for the RFS gives her a great sense of community involvement which is reflected by Linda always stopping and saying hello to a familiar face in the clinic or at the shops for lunch.
When not on the fireground, you’ll find Linda at the local beach with a book, a self-proclaimed nerd she also spends much of her time gaming. In winter you’ll find her on the slopes with her snowboard. Come say g’day!

Alana Gibson

Nurse

Alana completed her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE NSW in 2021 and began working at Terrey Hills Animal Hospital in 2022. Alana is a very empathetic nurse with a passionate interest in animal behaviour and nutrition.

Alana has completed ongoing training in anaesthetics, nurse consultation, exotics emergency care and nursing and is currently completing a course in animal nutrition. 

At home, Alana has a rescue Kelpie x Border Collie x Cattle dog called Bo and a Somali cat called Zigi.

Linda Pert

Reception

Linda joined the team at THAH in early 2023 from a background of 30 years in human healthcare. While Linda loves meeting your pets, her role in customer service satisfies her need to care for people. This also applies to Linda’s role in helping the rest of the team at Terrey Hills Animal Hospital.

Linda is an animal lover who has two energetic German Shorthaired Pointers, Elsie and Billie who bring happiness to the whole family and keep everyone active and outdoors.
The ideal weekend for Linda consists of dog walking, camping, horse riding and drinking coffee with family and friends. She loves multi-day hikes and hopes to check the Komona Koda trail in Japan off her list next year!
